A National Park in the mountains above Cuernavaca. The Park encompasses 3 small lakes. The surrounding hillsides are covered in forests of pine and other evergreens.

“In the case of skin cancer, you can buy good health, or at least good prevention, and for very little. I’m specifically referring to things you can do on your own.

1. Examine your skin every month. Your whole body. Look for very dark or irregular moles or even specs.

We all watched in horror as poor New Orleans was devastated by Katrina, which resulted in a sky-dive in tourism (their economic powerhouse), extensive property damage, to say nothing of their population loss and resulting labor shortage.(The labor shortage was in full evidence when I stopped in at the world famous Cafe Du Monde for cafe au lait and beignets and noticed that 15 out of about 16 of the wait-staff were Asian with absolutely no southern drawl– which I sorely missed.)

Playing Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid… as only two knockabouts can in the desert of South West Bolivia - where the movie was made!!

Saddling up on the outskirts of Tupiza, a frontier mining town in far south-west Bolivia, it was impossible not to sink into the same romantically rugged imagery that lured Butch and Sundance back to lawlessness after a stint of the straight life as ranchers in Patagonia and Chile.

we found a great place to horseback ride the last time we were in norco.  they offered a variety of different length rides.  they had great prices to begin w/, but then it got better b/c the more riders, the cheaper it got.  they also offered options of moonlight, dinner and children rides, along w/ the normal trail rides.

i had the most awesome time horseback riding at an equestrian center in france.  it was a 3-day experience that i will never forget.  riding, beautiful scenery, gorgeous chalet’s to stay in, you couldn’t beat it!
