Yesterday, a European Union veterinary expert panel relaxed the restrictions of the export of fresh meat from Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay.According to PR Inside, this means that the European Commission now feels certain that these meat products will be free from diseases—particularly foot-and-mouth disease.Argentina is known for its beef and its leather goods, making cows and gauchos (cowboys) a central part of the national identity. The two provinces specifically affected by this decision by the EU are Neuquen and Rio Negro. However, the EU still does not allow meat-on-the-bone to be imported to most of its member nations, meaning that the best cuts of meat still have to be found here in Argentina.

My skin was mummified in about three seconds, and even as we were landing, I could feel the moisture leaching out of all my pores. Champagne the first night led to a massive headache, and I thought to myself, would Miraval have been so wrong?
