8th Annual Banff Mountain Film Festival is a world touring event that showcases the best in adventure cinema.The festival began in 1976 in the Canadian town of Banff and since then has grown into an international cinema event that celebrates human achievement as well as the incredible beauty of the natural world.According to the official website, the festival in Argentina began in Bariloche in August and today it starts in Buenos Aires, where it will run through Wednesday at the Village Cine Recoleta.The show begins at 8 every night and there are a variety of short films shown on adventures ranging from mountain biking to skiing to speedflying.There is a short intermission in the middle of the films.To purchase tickets, go to Ticketek; the show costs 15 pesos for one night for 40 pesos to go to all three nights of heart-stop adventure cinema.  The festival moves on to Mendoza after Buenos Aires.
