Brightly colored balls bounced down the Spanish Steps in Rome on Wednesday. Graziano Cecchini and several other supporters emptied bags full of red, green, yellow and blue balls down Rome’s famed steps and into the boat-shaped Barcaccia fountain in the Piazza below.
Passers-by took photos and gathered up the balls as souvenirs of their trip to Rome. Officials had to cordon off the Spanish Steps while they cleaned up the mess. Cecchini and three others were detained. Cecchini told Italian TV newscast TG5, that he uses “art – if we want to call it art – to stress our malaise.â€

So I run into another set of dramas, get back to the airport over an hour before my flight is due to depart, not so bad considering what had happened to me in trying to get back to the airport and I thought as my luggage is already checked in and it’s just me and my carry on bag… not so fast buddy, this is Santiago…and, well, no amount of tears, tantrums or pleading could get me on the flight…it seems it was over booked, by quite a few, so that’s that for me.

A funny thing happened on the way to the forum…
Travelling through Argentina is a breeze, each day a new and invariably exciting city, each night the world’s most comfortable sleeper buses…What gets me is how incredibly nice and informal the locals can be.

…or have other people bought stuff purely on the attractiveness of the sales person?
Ok, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again….these Argentinians are supermodels..and one such individual just cost me over 1000 pesos….
Due to the devaluation of the Argentine peso, everything here is a third of the price of Australia. I mean eating at a very swanky restaurant will set you back $12. So I decided, as I have lost a heck of a lot of weight while being in super model land thanks to a diet of Argentinian beef and, well, more Argentinian beef, and whilst I have to get new stuff back home, I may as well do it here where the styles are better and at a third of the price…
