The Democrats Abroad Argentina are hosting an event this Friday in Buenos Aires to allow expats and Argentines alike to watch the presidential debates on the big screen.The debate will be shown at Sacramento, a bar in Palermo on El Salvador 5729, where there is space for a very large group of people.In addition to airing the debates (which will be shown in English as well as Spanish), Democrats Abroad Argentina will continue to do fundraising for the Obama campaign as well as work to register absentee voters.They help voters regardless of party exercise the right to vote from abroad.Entrance to the event is 10 pesos, the party begins at 8, and the debate will go live at 9.

This Saturday at 1 pm, Democrats Abroad Argentina organized a meeting on the Puente de la Mujer, one of the most recognizable landmarks in Puerto Madero, to participate in an international show of support for Senator Barack Obama, called “The Obama Bridge Project.â€The slogan of the event was “Yes We Span,†a spin-off of the Obama campaign’s “Yes We Can,†and the idea was to take pictures of Democrats abroad spanning the bridges of the world.According to iReport, the Buenos Aires event was held in conjunction with 4,000 other events around the world.In addition to posing for the photograph, volunteers were also on hand to help register voters for the upcoming election, a project they have been working on with the Republicans Abroad.
