This Saturday, the German Riding Club is hosting the 34thDerby General San Martin.According to My Buenos Aires Travel Guide, this Derby began in 1975 and is now one of the most important yearly equestrian activities in Argentina.The courses for show jumping are set by the International Equestrian Federation and they require an enormous amount of skill on the part of horse and rider.In addition to the show jumping, there will also be activities for children, the Federal Police Dog Squad exhibition, and performances by the Symphonic Orchestra of the City of Buenos Aires and the Symphonic Orchestra of the Federal Police.The events begin at 10:30am this Saturday and entrance is free.The contest will not be suspended in the event of rain, so fun is promised rain or shine!
