Manu Ginobili, a well known Argentine around the world for his incredible basketball skills, will not be able to begin the NBA season for the San Antonio Spurs because the injury to his left ankle is not yet fully healed.According to the Associated Press, Ginobili had surgery in early September because he had further exacerbated an already existing injury playing for Argentina in the Olympic Games. While some might say that he has let his NBA team down, his coach Gregg Popovich says that it is really a blessing. The surgery has cleaned his ankle out and now it will have a chance to really heal instead of getting only partly better.Ginobili will probably miss the first two months of the season and is currently training with the team, going slowly through the process of rehabilitation.
