On Saturday at the golf course in Colorado Springs, Argentine golfer Eduardo Romero took the lead at the U.S. Senior Open.The 54-year-old golfer from Cordoba golfed birdies on the first three holes of the day, giving him a five-under-par 65 for the day and a nine-under total of 201 for the tournament.His finish on Saturday put him two strokes ahead.According to Reuters, Romero feels that winning the tournament would be important not only for him personally but for “Latin America and Argentina†as well.As one of several Argentine golfers who have stepped into the spotlight in the last several months, Romero feels proud to be representing his country far away from home.
