Over 1,000 penguins have ended up on the shores of Brazil this year, and the Brazilian air force is now flying and shipping these penguins back home to the coast of Patagonia. The penguins are, presumably, lost, having come too far north in the search for food in winter.According to the BBC, these birds normally live in the colder waters of Patagonia at the southern tip of Argentina.Scientists are worried that penguins have had to swim so far north, 1,860 miles, for food because their normal food supply has been disrupted. Those who are ready to be introduced back into their habitat are being flown home and those who are still exhausted from their trip will be shipped back by boat, giving them time to recover.
