Argentina may be known for its steak, but Cordoba has a lot more to offer the palate than just meat.In a recent article on Cordoba.net, the magazine highlighted restaurants that offered excellent vegetarian options to their clientele.Platters that are heavy on the vegetables are perfect for the hot months ahead.Some recommended restaurants included Sol y Luna (with two locations on General Paz 278 and Montevideo 66), La naturaleza y usted, which has whole wheat pizzas and tartas, and Verde siempre verde (on Calle 9 de Julio 36), though this hardly exhausts the list! The article’s focus on vegetarian options reflects a growing trend in Buenos Aires as well.There are more and more options for the health conscious, who want to see more organic products served, and vegetarians, who cannot stand to eat another plate of pasta as the only non-meat option on the menu.

Faced with water restrictions and rising propane costs at its lodging operations in Alaska’s Denali National Park & Preserve, Denali Park Resorts had to do something to reduce laundry-related expenses. It was taking a lot of hot water to clean the sheets, towels and kitchen rags from 986 guestrooms and nine restaurants. Thanks to the installation of a $45,000 ozone laundry system in May, the savings have been significant. In fact, as of early September, the system had already generated $75,000 in utility savings. The savings came quick thanks to the company’s 97 percent occupancy during its busy May through September season.
