The dollar, as we all know, has been falling in the world market over the last few years, but according to MSNBC, there are still five great places where a dollar is still a dollar.One of those places is Argentina.The article notes that ever since 2003, the dollar and the peso have had an essentially static exchange rate at 3 pesos to the dollar.“Buenos Aires is the best substitute for a visit to a European city,” the author claims.After all, the city has been strongly influenced by Spanish, Italian, and British immigrants and embraces those identities more strongly than most other Latin American nations. The other four places they recommend are Panama, Ecuador, Belize, and the Caribbean and Atlantic islands.

1. 21C Hotel, Louisville, Kentucky–
This uber modern, avant guard contemporary art gallery/ hotel MIGHT pass in San Francisco, but deep in the heart of the South?? I couldn’t believe the naked, anatomically correct statuary and puzzling installation pieces that abounded. Getting to the concierge desk meant stepping over the video of a couple in bed, and the chandeliers in the lobby made a kookie racket as they came to life at random intervals. Girl, I had to keep reminding myself which side o’ the Mason-Dixon I was on!
