This Saturday, the folk music group Pachamama will perform their new album, “Pasos,†for an audience in Neuquén.No doubt most of the concert goers will already be familiar with this well known folk band’s style, but the band claims they have some new sounds up their sleeves for this album. They are singing songs in Sanskrit, Aymara, and Mapuche as well as in Spanish. According to Diario RÃo Negro, Pachamama is a sextet of musicians that has been playing together for many years; in 2005 their album “En vivo†was nominated for one of the Premios Gardel. The group’s name, Pachamama, represents their commitment to protect and celebrate the earth, which gives them “bread, milk, and a place to make a home in their world.â€Their show begins at 9:30 in the Cine Teatro Español.
